Amidst its 25 hectares (62 acres) of peaceful surroundings, Hamilton Zoo New Zealand hosts over 600 native and exotic mammals, birds and reptiles, and features the country's largest walk-through aviary.

Hamilton Zoo opens daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except Christmas Day). Last admissions 3:30 p.m.
Hamilton Zoo is the first New Zealand zoo to be fully accredited by the Australasian Regional Association of Zoological Parks and Aquaria.
